Estefanía de Ros and Gustavo Quintana-Kennedy of Agnes Studio are joined by Andrés Altamirano on a journey across Guatemala. Together, they capture the story of ‘Amuletos’, Agnes’s first solo show in Mexico City. This book, ‘Viaje a Los Amuletos’, is their ‘Journey to Amuletos’. It is an exploration and documentation of Guatemala’s cultural and artistic heritage. It is a journey of discovery, of materiality and of place – a search for the symbols and elements of good luck and fortune that connect us as humans, weaving together the threads of ancient tradition and contemporary design.
